So, I had my graduation and everything went well..... after I found my tassel. It was a really funny story, so I guess I'll tell you guys.

It all started the night before graduation when we were driving to Dallas. We were almost there when it dawned on me that I might have forgotten my tassel- you know the one you wear on your graduation cap. So I made Ben pull the car over so I could check and see if I'd remembered it. I pulled out my cap and gown (which was still in the original package) and I looked all through it and couldn't find my tassel. I immediately went into panic mode because it was almost 9:00 and we were almost to Dallas. There was no way we would have time to turn around and go back to Tyler to get it. We started making phone calls and we called everyone we could think of that lived in Dallas/Ft. Worth or had previously lived there to see if any of them had a white tassel. Of course, no one did. So I called my parents, who were already at the hotel in Dallas. They decided to go to Walmart and see if by any chance they sold tassels there. No luck! So, my mom being the ingenuetive person that she is, decided that we were going to stay up all night and make one! By the time we got to our hotel and my parents got back from Wally World, it was about 10:15. So my mom and I sit down to start making this dadgum tassel. So my mom is like, well take out your hat so we can figure out how long this thing needs to be. So I take out my hat, and low and behold........there's my tassel!!!! I fell on the floor laughing so hard because I had about 15 people trying to locate someone in Dallas that had a white tassel and there mine was- laying on the floor right in front of me! And of course my parents weren't too happy about it because they had just spend about two hours at Walmart trying to find out. They told me they were actually looking in people's cars trying to see if anyone had a white tassel hanging from their mirror. Oh my gosh, it was so funny! So anyway, graduation went well. I found out that I was actually graduating Cum Laude, which means I got a fun medal to wear when I walked across the stage. That was a fun surprise! Anyway, life has been good and stress-free these last couple of weeks which is exactly what I needed. Ben and I got a massage last week, which was WONDERFUL!!! Anyway, I'm gonna go now. I hope everyone has a fantastic day!!

Ok, so I think it's obvious that I haven't updated in a very long time. I have been working on a research project for the last couple of months and have literally spent every waking moment that I wasn't at work, working on that. Don't worry, I won't bore you with the details. But now, praise the Lord, I am DONE WITH SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least till next spring! Today was the first day that I didn't have to think about how much I needed to read tonight or what assignments I had due today. I have to say, it was very weird. I loved it, don't get me wrong- but it was weird. I don't even know what it feels like to not have to come home and do school work. It's pretty nice! And after Friday morning, I will officially be a college graduate!! WOOHOO!!!!!! Anyway, on to different news.

Ben and I celebrated our first anniversary this past Sunday. And as usual, Ben outdid himself. I just have to say that my man is the absolute best. I'm not just saying that because he's my husband- I really mean it! He is the best! I am blessed far beyond what I deserve. The Lord has been so good to us and has blessed are relationship so much. So, for our anniversary......Ben surprised me with a trip. Here I'll give you a few clues as to where we went.....

That doesn't look familiar? Try this:

Still no guesses??? Maybe this will help!

Yes, that is indeed Times Square in New York City!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ben surprised me with a trip to New York for the weekend. He called my boss and asked if I could have Sunday and Monday off and she said yes! I was under the impression that we were going to Houston for the weekend and that we were staying at Ben's grandparents' house. I started to get suspicious when we were taking all the exits to the airport, but Ben assured me we weren't flying anywhere (that little lier ). Then when we pulled into a parking garage, he had to tell me the truth, which I definitely didn't believe the first time he told me. He had to show me the flight schedule before I could actually believe that we were going to New York! haha Anyway, we had a great time! We saw Hairspray, which I absolutely loved! I think it was probably better than Wicked even! We also saw The Drowsy Chaperone which was hilarious!! We hung out on Times Square all day Saturday and shopped around. Then on Sunday we ate lunch at the Rockefellar Center and shopped on 5th Avenue all day! Then that night we went to Tavern on the Green! Oh my gosh, this restaurant was beautiful!!! Well, I'll just let the pics tell the story....

Well, it appears that I have hit my limit of photos for the month.  I will post a link to the rest of my pics later. You have to see the pics of Tavern on the Green!! I had never seen that restaurant before and it is amazing! Well, I hope you all sleep well tonight. I know I will! Much love!

My husband is amazing.

Life has been pretty insane lately. Work is absolutely crazy, and now I have to worry about this class everyday when I come home. Not to mention the usual duties of being a housewife. Plus we've had people over so much lately and it has all just worn me out. Don't get me wrong......I love having people over- I really do! But it can be very tiring when you are constantly having to clean. Yeah, so Research Methods is going great....yes, that's right Research Methods. That's the class I'm taking in order to graduate. And yes, to answer your question, it is as bad as it sounds. Believe me, I have been able to get a lot of things done that I normally don't want to do just so I can put off working on this class. Actually, I haven't really had to put it off because our Internet was down most of last week. So for this class, I have to design my own research project so I decided to do "The Effects of Birth Order on Personality". I am only in the beginning stages, but I might ask some of you to participate later on in the summer after I actually get the details worked out. Ok, enough about my beyond boring class.

On a lighter note, Ben and I might be going to a wedding on Saturday in Dallas. We haven't decided yet if we are going or not, but if we do, we are definitely going to Cheesecake Factory! So, we will see about that. Well, I need to go do some research. I hope you all have a wonderfully blessed week! Look for the little things that God blesses you with. You will be amazed!
